selenia collects nothing. there is no account, no cloud, no analytics and no ads. your birth details, and everyone else's you save, stay in the app on your phone.

selenia isn't on the app store, so this covers the app as you'd build her from her source on github.

your birth data CHARTS.TXT ✦⋆

a chart is stored as exactly what you typed: the date, the time (or the fact that you did not know it), the place with its coordinates and timezone, and the name you gave it. positions are recomputed from that whenever you open the chart, rather than being saved as results.

it is kept in the app's own database on your device. it is never uploaded, never shared with me, and never used for anything but drawing your chart. if you back up your iphone, the app's data is part of that backup, encrypted by apple, and still not visible to me.

the one thing that leaves your phone NET.TXT ⋆☾

when you type a birthplace, selenia asks apple's geocoder to turn that place name into coordinates and a timezone. the place name goes to apple for that lookup, governed by apple's privacy policy. nothing else about you is attached, and no other part of the app makes a network request.

location and notifications OPT.TXT ☾✦
  • location is optional and used only for the live sky above you. it is used in the moment and never stored or sent.
  • notifications are opt in and entirely local: transit alerts and birthday reminders are scheduled on your device by the app itself. no server pushes anything to you.
what is never collected NONE.TXT ✦⋆
  • no account, because there is no sign in
  • no analytics, usage tracking or advertising identifiers
  • no automatic crash reports
  • no contacts, photos, health data or microphone access
  • no third party sdks, no astrology service, no chatbot: readings are fixed text inside the app
sharing, and deleting RM.TXT ⋆☾

share cards and sphere exports are made on your device and go only where you send them. nothing is published anywhere by the app.

deleting the app deletes every chart with it, permanently, with no copy anywhere for me to recover. if a chart matters to you, share or screenshot it first.

if this policy ever changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. anything unclear, write to me and i will answer.
