The short version: Piru doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.
All data you enter into Piru — including dose logs, substance preferences, daily dose settings, and app settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
No data is sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party.
Piru makes limited network requests solely to fetch and update substance information from public pharmacological databases (TripSit API, PsychonautWiki, and DailyMed/OpenFDA). These requests do not include any personal or usage data.
You can export all your data at any time via Settings → Export Data. The export is a local file that stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
Deleting the app removes all stored data permanently. There is no backup or recovery mechanism since no data exists outside your device.
Piru does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Piru is not intended for use by children under the age of 18.
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. Given our commitment to local-only data storage, significant changes are unlikely.
